Ingredients

Caprese's

  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Fresh Mozzarella Balls
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 6 " bamboo skewers

Balsamic Glaze

  • 2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbs sugar
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

To make the balsamic glaze

  • In a small pot over medium heat; bring vinegar, sugar, salt and oregano to a simmer. Reduce heat to med./low and continue to gently simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes or until glaze decreases by half and becomes a syrup consistency. Whisk occasionally while cooking. Transfer glaze to a container to cool and refrigerate. This will yield 1 cup of glaze.

To assemble caprese skewers

  • Using a bamboo skewer, thread a tomato, basil leaf, mozzarella ball, basil leaf and tomato.
  • Once you have made enough caprese skewers for your meal, lightly drizzle the balsamic glaze over the skewers.
  • Enjoy!
