Nourishing Granola
This family-favorite granola, passed down from my Aunt Marjorie, is packed with nourishing ingredients like rolled oats, shredded coconut, nuts, seeds, honey, and a touch of vanilla. Easy to make, versatile, and freezer-friendly, this recipe has been cherished through generations. Perfect as a breakfast topping or a snack on its own, it brings comfort and wholesome goodness to every bite.
- 5 lbs Rolled Oats preferably sprouted and organic
- 1 lb shredded Coconut unsweetened
- 2 lbs Nuts and Seeds- all raw; almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pecans, cashews, walnuts, chia seeds, hemp seeds. use one type of nut and seed or a combination.
- 1 Tablespoon Sea Salt
- 2 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla
- 2 Cups Raw Honey or Pure Maple Syrup
- 2 Cups Oil- Olive or Coconut
Using a scale- measure out each dry ingredient.
In a medium bowl- measure out the honey/maple syrup, oil and vanilla.
In a large bowl combine the dry and wet ingredients together. Stir very well
Preheat oven to 325 °F
Using half sheet baking sheets, add an even layer of the wet granola mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes. Take baking sheet out of oven and mix granola mixture well.Put back in oven and bake 15-30 minutes until granola is golden brown. This granola stores well in glass jars or in the freezer for longer storage.
